Chevrolet Beat Diesel Review

Chevrolet tried to put Beat in the most affordable hatchback category right from the launch and yes it was and it is. What made beat an instant success during its launch is that it looks absolutely fantastic between any other cars available that time and it came with a Diesel engine with economy figures that can put any other car to shame. However, Chevrolet Beat did get initial momentum but it could not keep up its pace. It lost out soon despite being a good package in its category. Now Chevrolet has launched 2014 Beat with some revisions. Let us find out whether a revised Beat can make any difference or not?

Exterior:

Chevrolet Beat’s design had always been refreshing and good to look at, but that does not mean it would not look dated. A proper facelift would have helped the car.

You wonder about the changes that Chevrolet has made outside because apart from new bumper, a slightly large front grille, blackened out headlights, a new spoiler with LED taillights and a taillight with minimalistic redesign you do not get anything. Quite disappointing, isn’t it?

Interior:

Updates in interior too is as disappointing as exterior. All you get some silver accents on the dashboard, door panel and steering wheel. It is a pity that Chevrolet not even thought to redesign dashboard and the semi digital instrument cluster which now do not look funky anymore. Chevrolet must have gone to inhouse more conventional instrument cluster as it gives a more car like feel.
