Renault Kwid 1.0
Pros:
- It is the best looking entry hatchback in its segment.
- It is just Rs. 25000 expensive than its 800cc version.
- Goodies of its lesser power sibling are exactly the same – which means you get fantastic cabin space, practically laid out interiors with lots of storage space, touch media navigation with Bluetooth telephony and comfortable seats.
- Added 40kg has made Kwid’s ride quality and handling even better.
- 97bhp/tonne power to weight ratio is the best you can get in its class and very impressive for the car of its category.
- 180mm ground clearance is a very handy prospect while riding on imperfect Indian roads.
- High speed manners and low speed ride has improved considerably.
- NVH levels are way better than its 800cc sibling.
- 300 ltrs of boot space is not only best in its class but it is too much to handle for cars from its class above.
- Now you can cruise triple digit speeds without any fuss.
- 23kmpl claimed mileage is impressive.
Cons:
- Aesthetically there are absolutely no change apart from checkered side strap with 1.0 imprinted on it and silver accent side view mirrors.
- With its 1Litre engine Kwid will not only compete with Alto K10 but will also poke into Wagon-R and Celerio forte, but sadly there is no ABS or dual airbags on offer that can lure buyers of that class.
Why I shall purchase Kwid 1.0?
If you want the best of your money which offcourse will be less than 5 lakh rupees, Renault Kwid 1.0 is what you need to own. People had complains with 800cc version that not only it is under powered but it also rides in a sluggish manner. With the new engine Renault has managed to make Kwid better than ever.
Why you should not opt for Renault Kwid 1.0?
If you are willing spend some extra cash for added safety features like ABS and Airbags.
