Mahindra Bolero Power +

Pros:
  • Sub 4 meter SUV means that now you have to pay less (almost 1 lakh less which is a good amount isn’t it?)
  • Mahindra has done a tremendous job by cutting length smartly so that it does not look out of proportion.
  • Simple and basic design to last long
  • All the selling points of Bolero is intact with the new one
  • New 1.5 L mHawk engine not only has 195Nm of torque but it also produces 71bhp of power which is 8bhp more than its older bigger displacement sibling.
  • Engine is more refined and returns an ARAI certified mileage of 16.5 kmpl

Cons:
  • Mahindra could have made its ever-popular product better allround but perhaps they were afraid of altering Bolero’s selling points that are new Bolero Power+ weakness also
  • Jump seats are narrower and are only suitable for skinny people (child would be more preferable)
  • Both front and back seats does not offer much support (thigh and lumber)
  • Steering still feels too large and hinder in direct eye contact from instrumentations
  • Excessive vertical movement combined with body roll will tire you out over longer distance
  • Cabin quality, fit and finish are only meant to last long rather to appeal
  • With price ranging from 6.87 lakh to 7.86 lakh it is not exactly cheap for what you get
  • No safety option even as an option
